Srila Vyasadeva: his contribution to the name and fame of Vrindavan is the most outstanding. He has done the Srimad Bhagavatam and the Mahabharata where Lord Krishna’s importance’s also mentioned very widely. Through him we can hear the Bhagavad Gita which is now read all around the world. He is one of the most important pioneers.

The four Sampradayas Acaryas: They are all important because in the different disciple or sections they have stressed very much the importance of Lord Krishna’s teaching.

Note: The four Sampradayas with his acharyas are as follows:

Madvacarya, brahma, sampradaya

4 Kumaras or Nimbarka Sampradaya (Nimbarkacharya Acharya)

Sri Shankar Acharya: has written down prayers to the Bhagavad Gita and is famous for his last saying “Bhajan Govinda, Bhajan Govinda, Bhajan Govinda muda mate”. Translate: What use is there of all the logical arguments, if the only thing which can be said is if you remember Govinda.

Sripad Ramanuja Acarya and Madhva Acarya: who spread the Krishna’s teaching widely in the south of India in their respective schools.

Gouranga and Nityananda: they are greatly accepted as the Founders of Vrindavan because they sent the six goswamis to the holy land of Vrindavan. Later they burst out into a recognition of Vrindavan by all the folks in the local area, and later by the Kings from all over India. And in this way the pastimes that where enacted here five thousand years ago exploded again into the consciousness of the people of India. It is now to the consciousness of people around the world.

Srimati Meera Bai: famous saint women who came to Vrindavan to take shelter of Lord Krishna and her songs are highly respected by vaisnavas either today.

Sripad Madhavendra Puri: who discovered the deity of Govardhan and he is also famous for the steps he has taken in his services to the Lord’s glory.

Agba: great supporter of the Six Goswamis and helped build the Radha Govinda Mandir and also gave other further help in the development of Vrindavna.

Lala Babu: was a wealthy zamindar of calcuta. He received a call that he was wasting his life. He sold his properties and came to Vrindavan to build a fantastic temple. He renovated the Radha Kunda plus countless of other services. He was famous for not begging in front of the temple he constructed, like other sadhus do instead of eating the offerings of his own temple. Service to Braj Mandal was his heart and soul.

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupada: who came to Vrindavan and established the first Gaudiya Math there, and his disciples did a lot of services and improvements to the Dham.

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada: who made Vrindavan famous all over the world and constructed the famous Krishna-Balaram Mandir. His literary contribution which was translated in almost every language in the world has stood out as a pillar in the history of India like nothing in comparison.
